The first playoff game of RSHL Season 16 would not be disappointing. Less than 60 seconds into the match and after a botched cross of somesort Careboat collected the puck and powered it in giving Breakaway an early 1-0 lead. For the next 6 minutes game play was fairly controlled by Breakaway until some fine dancing by chrono way of klammy and Zeppelin- lead to a goal for BSK bringing the game to a tie at 1s. One is never enough with chrono and a minute later he scored his 2nd goal of the game assisted by Zeppelin- and klammy putting BSK in the lead 2-1. Good fortune would shine on Breakaway as they quickly returned fire after BSK's goalie stepped out. Scored by carecraft carrier assisted by careboat and white_0men. The game remained tied at 2s until 24 seconds left in the first when once again carecraft carrier with help from cocain and careboat brought the game to 3 to 2 in favor of Breakaway.

The 2nd period brought about much more equal game play with chances for both teams. Just before the halfway point in the period Cyris put one away, assisted by carecraft carrier and Pheef, making the score 4 to 2 BA. Breakaway kept the pressure on Baby Seal Killers leading to goal number 5 assisted by carecraft carrier. Zeppelin- then decided to make an appear on the tally sheet and put one away for BSK taking the game to 5-3 BA. The end of the second period was pretty much the end of the game.

The 3rd period brought about a competition in referee endurance. There were no goals scored in the 3rd but the game play was extremely equal even though the shots were BSK 9 and BA 3. Round 1 Game 1 Victory for Breakaway 5-3!
