So you'd like to play some online hockey or football, eh? This page will help you get started on your RSHL/MSHL/RSFL career.

Firstly, you're going to need to download the client, so head over here and download the game client. It's in a ZIP format, extract it to wherever you want and run Continuum.exe. Click profiles and put in your desired name, although keep in mind there are thousands of players already and over 30000 names have been registered already, so if you pick a name that's taken, add a number or character to the end of it and submit it again or pick a new name.

Once you've got your name picked out and are ready to go, click on SSCE Hockey/Football Zone in the zone list and hit play. You'll want to read the rules located here, or at the bottom of the news window that pops up when you first enter the zone, before you get in and start playing. They're also located at the top left of the map (use the top and left arrows to move your screen to the upmost top left once you've entered the zone), and are also located in the F1 menu in game, just keep pressing F1 until the rules come up on the top left of your screen.

All of the available arenas/sports should show up in the arena list, so type ?arena or press escape and then a to see the available arenas, use the page down and page up keys to select the arena you'd like to play in and press enter. You can also use the much faster ?go command to go into arenas, for example, ?go football or ?go squash.

If you have any questions, feel free to send me or any moderator (denoted by the + at the end of their names) a message in game by putting my name inbetween two colons and typing your message(for example, :BlueGoku:help!, or :Image:help!). You can also ask other players for help by typing your message and pressing enter, to send it to the entire arena.

Once you're ready to start playing, press esc and then choose a number from 1-8 to select your ship. The different ship descriptions can be found in the F1 menu, but a quick run down is as follows:
1 (warbird) speed, 2 (javelin) toughness, 3 (spider) playmaker, 4 (leviathan) defender, 5 (terrier) all-around player, 6 (weasel) sniper, 7 (lancaster) positional goalie, 8 (shark) reflex goalie.

And that's it for this get-started guide, hope you have a good stay in Hockey Zone!
