Oh man. I was on vacay in San Fran/San Diego the last couple of weeks and never got a chance to run this. I haven't made any additions to my rig since the last time I ran it so I don't expect it'll be changed much unless the new AMD drivers + windows 10 made a big difference. Will run after work. Was thinking about a new GPU but ended up buying a PS4 instead.

Edit: What's in your rig these days?

Either I made a great pc build 5-6 years ago(~2k) (Exception: new ssd last year) or the windows experience indexes aren't great for benchmarking... because my 6 year old build scored
Code: [Select]
Component                               Subscore
----------------------------------------------
Processor                      7.5
Memory (RAM)                  7.5
Graphics                      7.8
Gaming graphics                7.8
Primary hard disk              7.8
----------------------------------------------
Base score                    7.5

and its using a processor from 7 generations ago(Nehalem, i7 920, 2.7GHz)
(unless we all here have relatively old setups)

For GPU Bench-marking I'd recommend Unigine Valley, the better your graphics card setup is, the more amazing the scenery looks/fps.

I don't want to mess it up but I really think if I disable my two other drives (one is a Crucial MX100 and the other is an old school mechanical drive) and just leave my Plextor PCI SSD I would post a way better score. 770MB/S read and 580MB/S write. It does say primary, but I bet it still affects the score somehow. And I dunno why the graphics category shows 8.8 when gaming is 9.9 tho lol. Trifire issues maybe.

Not in SF anymore unfortunately. But how about this one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834232404

I know you said you weren't looking specifically for a gaming laptop but between the CPU and GPU this is a pretty good machine that should last a good while.

Anything else I've found for under or around $1000 just doesn't compare.

There's an MSI one with the exact same specs if you want to stick with their brand. Both have a 1 year warranty, but if you go with the "Computer Upgrade King" one it's a 3 year warranty for $50 more.

MSI one: http://www.amazon.com/GE72-Apache-i7-4720HQ-7200rpm-Computer/dp/B014RJA5FY/ref=sr_1_8?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1443543951&sr=1-8&keywords=MSI+laptop&refinements=p_36%3A2421891011

All 3 have the exact same specs.
