The offseason football league is going to be a little different this season. The league will be a draft league with a basic, fantasy style, snake draft. There will be no salary caps/money like in cashpuck. Captains just choose best available player, or player that best fits their needs.
The amount of captains/teams will be determined by the amount of players signed up. Captains will be chosen based on previous experience in the RSFL and, to a lesser extent, other zone activities.
If you want to be a captain: PM me on the forums, not in game.
There will be a thread posted for player signups/guidelines later today(hopefully).
I'll post more details later about trades and other rules later.
PS: i hope for this to be fun and successful, obviously, but I also hope that it gives players a chance to play with different teams and different people, which may spawn new teams for the RSFL next season.

Warning you,
No salaries is alot less work organization wise, but then you have to make sure you pick captains who are unlikely to blow up and/or be idiotic about their team selection - as there is no mechanic in place to prevent someone stacking a team if they so choose.
Also, for the draft, google spreadsheets are really neat if you want to setup a live draft board.
Otherwise, it could be alot of fun.

obviously picking good captains who aren't going to be fuckups is key in any league..
as for stacking teams, i think it's a lot different for football. I think a draft in football works better than in hockey. The 'best' players are not as well established in football. The only 'stacking' problem I can see is not a stacking of talent but a stacking of a certain position - such as drafting 4 QBs, but that's not really advantageous.

that's assuming there is a high demand for QBs
if that is the case(probably so) then a competent captain would have recognized team A drafted a QB 1st round, and followed suit to prevent your scenario.

i dunno but im prty sure i remember thinking to myself during some point in the old draft that it was a queef way of deciding draft order. dont do like alphabetical order or something, do like IRL cage matches so I can get number 1 overall u kno so i can draft broncs then trade him
